[YDD] How To Learn A Racetrack - From Anywhere
Hello Reader,
We are not born with an ingrained ability to learn a race track.
But knowing the race circuit (really) well is essential to you being fast.
Yet learning takes time. Time you may not have for extra testing days or extended simulator sessions.
You can just hope for the best. Try to figure things out as you go along. Or, you can try some preparation beforehand – like reading written guides, studying track maps and watching online videos.
This weeks article is about levelling up your prep a little. I share a simple 3-step guide that I’ve found can give you a big head start when (re-) learning a race track:

- how to find a good onboard video,
- how to become your own guide, and
- how to train your feet (yes, because your hands follow your feet!)
You'll be excited about getting out there, so this is about trying to give you something proactive you can easily do in a spare 15 or 20 mins ahead of time. It's about trying to help speed up your learning so when you get to the track, you will have a head start.
